An ambitious programme to renovate and extend the provincial museum is currently underway as part of the CHAMPA project, funded by the Agence Française de Développement.
Provincial Museum
Eventually, the museum, which will feature the collections of the Nong Heua Thong treasure and those of the current Dinosaur Museum in addition to the current collections, is set to become one of the most attractive in the region, thanks to a completely redesigned scenography. Enough to justify a visit to Savannakhet on its own! (scheduled to open in 2027).
