Savannakhet is proud to have preserved a large number of remarkable buildings (almost 200 have been identified) of colonial, art-deco or Lao architecture, as few cities in South-East Asia have managed to do.
Architectural heritage

Most of the remarkable buildings are concentrated within a perimeter of around 1.7km x 400m, small enough to be easily explored on foot.
