Provincial Museum

The provincial museum is located in one of the most remarkable buildings in the old town. An ambitious programme of renovation and extention is currently underway as part of the CHAMPA project, funded by the Agence Française de Développement. Eventually, the museum, which will feature the collections of the Nong Hua Thong treasure and those of the current Dinosaur Museum in addition to the current collections, is set to become one of the most attractive in the region, thanks to a completely redesigned scenography. Enough to justify a visit to Savannakhet on its own! (Scheduled to open in 2027).
